Synthetic Data and Trend Surfaces with R

Creating synthetic data is critical to evaluating modeling methods and diagnose problems.

Learning Objectives:

• Create synthetic point data sets in R.
• The synthetic data will include; trend surfaces, auto correlated data, and random noise.
• Evaluate trend surface methods in R.
• Remove trends from data.
• Evaluate auto correlation methods in R.
• Evaluate the remaining random noise in a data set.
